Playing The Game of Roulette

There are some rule variations when paying roulette. The most common variation is the number of zeros on the wheel. European roulette has one zero, American double zero, and some casinos have triple zero. The most common roulette wheel is double zero. Single zero roulette still exists but it’s reserved for smaller casinos. This is how to play a round of double zero American roulette:

Before placing a wager at the table a player needs to purchase chips. It’s a simple process of exchanging cash for casino chips. Upon sitting down or standing at the table a player sets their cash down on the table. Players can’t hand the money directly to the croupier because security won’t allow a hand to hand transaction. After a player lays money down on the table the dealer with organize the money so the cameras and pit boss can see it and verify the amount. Once verified the dealer will drop it in the cash box and give the player an equal amount of chips back. The chips will be colored to denote use specifically for roulette and carry a value of $1. A player can request standard casino chips if desired. A player can now touch the chips and organize them.

2. Place A Wager
When the round begins the dealer will wave a hand across the table to signify that bets are open. During this time players can place bets all across the betting surface. The inside bets are straight up numbers and the outside bets are to the left. There will always be a minimum and maximum bet that is displayed on the side of the table next to the dealer. The minimum bet threshold can be met by adding up all inside and outside bets. If there are any questions players can ask the dealer.

3. Spinning The Wheel

Once bets are placed the dealer will spin the ball around the wheel. Shortly after the ball has been placed the dealer will wave a hand across the table to signify all bets are closed. Players can not place anymore bets after this point. The ball will spin around the roulette wheel until it falls or bounces into one of the slots.
